New Baby Boy- Newborn Session in Silver Spring, Maryland

In the middle of February I got a call about a New baby boy who was born and wanted to have a newborn session. We picked a date and had mom and dad bring him in to the studio. Oh my! He was so sweet and had the most delicious cheeks! Most newborn sessions that I do happen between 7-21 days new, but this sweet new baby boy was already 6 weeks old by the time he came in. I was a little nervous that we wouldn’t be able to get the classic poses, but this little man was a champ!

He was awake for the beginning parent portraits, but then we rocked him to sleep and we got the most incredible images! I might be slightly obsessed with how they turned out, and I hope you are too!

I used a variety of props from my favorite vendors to create the looks I was going for. Lighting was really key for all the images. If you nail lighting and posing, your images will be gorgeous! I always find that talking to parents beforehand about color choices is always a good idea because you save time by having set ups ready to go instead of scrambling to find things they like!
